Kanye West’s X account has been deactivated following days of antisemitic, misogynistic, and racist tirades. It appears the final straw for Elon Musk wasn’t the hate speech—but the excessive posting of pornography.
Musk’s response came after an X user called for Kanye’s ban, not due to his offensive remarks, but because his explicit posts were flooding people’s feeds. Musk replied, “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not be seeing that anymore.”

Shortly after, Kanye deleted his account, saying he was “logging off” and thanking Musk for allowing him to express himself. He described his rant as “cathartic,” comparing it to an “Ayahuasca trip.”
However, Kanye’s pornographic posts were only part of the controversy. His recent rants included attempts to “normalize talking about Hitler” and self-identifying as a Nazi.

Celebrities like David Schwimmer urged Musk to take action, warning that hate speech leads to real-world violence.
For now, Kanye is gone from X—but given his history, it may not be permanent.
