Kirk Bangstad is offering free beer at his brewery when Donald Trump dies and BOGO brews when Rudy Giuliani kicks the bucket.
He is also attempting to make a run at governor in Wisconsin.
Bangstad, the owner of the controversial Minocqua Brewing, announced on the brewery’s Facebook page that he was seeking 2,000 signatures so that he could be added to Wisconsin’s ballot. He said he was holding parties over the next two weekends in an attempt to secure the signatures within 25 days so that he could be in the race.
“If you want someone whose going to fight for you instead of talk about how to fight over the coffee klatch, come party with us and help Kirk get on the ballot,” the post read.
In another post, Bangstad wrote, “I believe Trump is going to try to steal our election in an October surprise and since nobody is used to elections being stolen, then they’re not going to answer in the affirmative when asked how important election protection is.
“The current Dems in this race are campaigning according to polling, not according to their guts,” he added. “My gut says we need to talk about election protection, and that’s why I’m completely different than every other candidate running.”
Bangstad’s attempt to enter the race comes as he has placed himself and his brewery at the center of controversy.
He made national headlines earlier this year when he promised free beer on the day that Trump dies.
That did not go over well with some.
Bangstad also recently made a beer offer for the day that Rudy Giuliani, who has been hospitalized with pneumonia, dies.
“If Rudy kicks the bucket that he found at Four Seasons Landscaping, it’s buy one get 1 free day,” a recent post on the brewery’s Facebook page read.
Supporters of the brewery were quick to chime in.
“C’mon Rudy, it’s not just about you!!!!” Joe Wajnert responded.
“Yasssss (come on) RUDY go to the red flames,’ another wrote.
Others were understandably upset by the post.
“You are demonic!” Sherry Jones Scott wrote.
At least one person tagged the FBI.
Kash Patel and his organization are very likely to know about Minocqua by now, especially after its comments when a gunman recently stormed the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with Trump in attendance.
“Well, we almost got #freebeerday,” a post on the brewery’s Facebook page at the time read. “Either a brother or sister in the Resistance needs to work on their marksmanship or he faked another assassination to get a positive news cycle. We’ll never know. Regardless, we stand at the ready to pour free beer the day it happens.”
The brewery first made its free beer offer on Facebook on Jan. 22.
“Free beer, all day long, the day he dies,”the brewery wrote. “Show us this post when it happens in a few months and we’ll make good on that promise.”
