I literally LOVED the Freakier Friday! I loved all the parallels to the first film and also the references to other Lindsay Lohan movies! It’s genius! This is how you make a good sequel. Us 199… something babies just won so hard 🥹. The world is finally healing 😭🥹. I was a bit worried this wouldn’t make a great sequel, as sometimes sequels are a mistake, but this was perfect.
I love it! Freaky Friday has always been—and is always—one of my comfort movies, and I am really not disappointed with this second one 🥹🥹. I’m so happy that they brought ALL the actors back 🥰🥰. The teenagers’ acting got the assignment, and Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were again amazing and hilarious.
My Rant: I Can’t Believe This Movie Exists
Oh, ciao Alexis Carrington 😍😍😍. What. A. Great. Movie! Omg, I was screaming and laughing/crying so hard. I just found it HILARIOUS that Jake (Chad Michael Murray) still has a crush on Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis). And he ends up with a woman who looks like an old version of Tess? That’s hilarious!
The wedding being on October 3rd, the end scene with Jake at the ceremony with that woman—what a great way to explain why Anna and him didn’t work out. And what in the Lohan-verse was that with her “step-mom” from The Parent Trap working with her? My mind is blown! The pink slips show and the bloopers at the end felt like the 2000s. I literally can’t say enough good things about this movie!

Why These Freakier Friday Quotes Land So Hard
Freakier Friday is the perfect case study in Disney’s endlessly stretchable IP. Reviews praise the film for being a worthy sequel that harkens back to the early 2000s glory days while also delivering something fresh for 2025. It’s a shot of nostalgia for millennials, a love letter to the original film, and a great showcase for the talents of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.
The movie is a perfect example of a sequel done right, with so many Easter eggs and callbacks to the first film. When they mentioned Coldplay is for old people 😂, I couldn’t stop laughing. The scooter crash was also hilarious. I love how the show just keeps giving, and it’s a great example of a movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
If you love movies that are funny and nostalgic, you might also like my take on the quotes from The Naked Gun or the hilarious antics in Lilo & Stitch. You can also find more of my movie quotes here.
This was absolute cinema. That’s how you make a sequel; thank God the second movie’s curse didn’t get here. I loved this! I loved the Easter eggs, like the wedding being on October 3rd! And her “step-mom” from The Parent Trap working with her! What in the Lohan-verse was that?! PURE NOSTALGIA 🥺🥰 I love it! I am so happy that they brought ALL the actors back. The 2 teen stars were amazing as well!
