Proof that an Assassin’s Creed game set in Wakanda could work! Marvel’s new show, Eyes of Wakanda, is finally here, and I’m honestly so annoyed that this show is being overshadowed by the Fantastic Four right now. They keep dropping their Black-led shows with barely any promotion—first Ironheart, and now this. I am really hoping Wonder Man doesn’t get the same treatment. This is already a peak show. It’s a great kickoff point for this mini-series, and I love the art style.
But let’s be real, some of the animation choices were… questionable. Still, the villain and the voice actor for that character really stood out to me. The action is great, and Noni is a cool character. And Noni sure as hell played a lot of Assassin’s Creed! I wouldn’t have thought the War Dog would be defeated right away, though; he had a really cool design. It may seem like a lot for a first episode, but it’s a mini-series, so that gets some leeway.
My Rant: Why This Show is a Hidden Gem
Okay, so this show isn’t about flashy superhero moments—it’s about storytelling, history, legacy, and the culture behind Wakanda, and it’s a damn shame it isn’t getting the attention it deserves. It’s literally showing us how the Dora Milaje have been protecting their nation and its secrets across different time periods, and that’s something we rarely get to see in the MCU.
Eyes of Wakanda was emotional, deep, and beautifully animated. Not everything needs to be a big battle scene every five minutes. Sometimes the quieter, more meaningful stories are the ones that stick with you the most.
It’s kind of lame how people just throw negativity around without even appreciating what the creators were trying to do. To me, Eyes of wakanda added real value to the Marvel universe and gave a voice to characters and stories that deserve more attention. Respect to everyone who worked on it!
