Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie has voiced deep concern over the state of free expression in the United States, saying: “I don’t recognise my country.” Speaking at Spain’s San Sebastián Film Festival, she warned about the dangers of restricting freedoms. “Anything anywhere that divides or limits personal expressions and freedoms from anyone, I think, is very dangerous,” Jolie said.
The actor stressed the seriousness of the current climate, urging caution with words and actions. “These are such serious times that we have to be careful not to say things casually. These are very, very heavy times we are living in together,” she added.
