President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has vowed to seek revenge following the deaths of three American service members after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
He also held the Iranian government responsible, accusing it of “waging war against civilization itself.”
Addressing the casualties, Trump said, “We are sad for the real American heroes who gave their lives for our country, even as we keep going with the right mission they fought for.”
“Unfortunately, there will probably be more before it’s over. That’s probably how it will be more. But we’ll do everything we can to avoid that happening,” he added.

Earlier on Sunday, U.S. Central Command (Centcom), based in Tampa, Florida, which oversees military operations in the Middle East, confirmed that as of 9:30 a.m. ET, three American service members had been killed and five others seriously wounded in what the Pentagon is calling Operation Epic Fury.
The U.S. military did not specify when or where the casualties occurred, marking the first U.S. losses since Trump ordered the attacks on Iran early Saturday.
The sudden strikes caught both U.S. allies and adversaries off guard, raising concerns about a potential escalation.
Centcom added in a statement, “Major fighting is still happening, and we’re still working to respond to the situation. The situation is still changing, so in order to show respect for the families, we will not share more details, including the names of those who lost their lives, until 24 hours after the families have been informed.”
