As a huge fan of the franchise, I’m completely hooked. The new show, Alien Earth, is a visually stunning and terrifying prequel to the original movies. Can’t believe people 100 years in the future are going to be watching Ice Age: Continental Drift like it’s essential cinema. I’m so excited. Waking up from cryo-sleep and the first thing you do is light a cigarette… I can relate to that. 😉 I loved the visuals, and the Alien aesthetic was on point in this first episode. Looking forward to seeing what Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and the gang are going to encounter.
Noah Hawley, known for his work on Fargo and Legion, brings to life a series that explores the eerie events leading up to the original 1979 Alien film. The show stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, and Babou Ceesay as Morrow. The cast delivers powerful performances in this intense prequel that’s set to explore new depths of the Alien universe.
My Unfiltered Rant on Alien Earth
The xenomorph scenes were insane. They even got the orange cat, too! Bugs, man, ugh. Me, as a cat owner, when I saw the poor cat with the thing… 😭😭😭 I’m so sad for the cat, but at the same time, I’m so excited to see what happens next. The show only reminds me of how bad I need another Alien Isolation game.
Great start, but it really bugged me how the xenomorph killed everyone almost instantly but took its time with the main cast. #plotarmor. But who cares? It’s a great show, and I’m excited for more! I just hope Alien Earth doesn’t get canceled because I assume it has a high budget.
I can’t believe they did Kitty like that. It was so sad. But also, did anyone else catch the Alien: Covenant “Don’t let the bed bugs bite” by David reference? I love the little details they put in the show.

Why the ALien Earth Dialogues Hits So Hard
Alien Earth is a visually stunning sci-fi series that’s a welcome addition to the Alien franchise. Reviews praise the show’s tense atmosphere and stunning visuals, with critics at The Guardian calling it “mesmerizing.” The show is a great way to explore the history of the xenomorphs and their origins.
This is a show that explores how trauma can turn people into the worst versions of themselves. Sydney Chandler, as Wendy, and Timothy Olyphant, as the ship’s captain, have great chemistry as two people who know how to read other human beings better than most people. Their performances are so good that they hold the show together, even with all of its twists and turns.

My Final Thoughts and Your Theories
The xenomorph scenes were insane. Amazing episode, it brings back memories about the movies… the way the Alien stays hidden and you have to second guess… “did I miss that?!”… The statue scene… 🤌🏻 Okeyyyyyy, nice episode, that ending was just so interesting, they’re playing with fire, I really need an explanation for the link between Wendy and the alien. I loved the ending songs: Black Sabbath, Tool, and Metallica. A cloned Ripley also had a link with the xenomorphs in Alien Resurrection. I’m interested to see what is happening with Wendy. Also, epic tongue grab to save Joe. Did anyone else catch the Alien: Covenant “Don’t let the bed bugs bite” by David reference?
