Offset, the Atlanta rap sensation and former Migos member, continues to lead a headline-grabbing life. Last year, he went through a public divorce with Cardi B while she was expecting their third child, and he even found himself in a street brawl with a French rap crew in Paris. Now, he’s making waves again by announcing an upcoming concert in Moscow, despite his record label, Motown, maintaining a boycott of Russia due to the ongoing war with Ukraine.
According to Billboard, Offset revealed the April 18th concert at Moscow’s MTC Live Hall on his Instagram story. He’s signed to Motown Records, which is part of Universal Music Group, the world’s largest record label. Back in 2022, Universal made a bold move by suspending operations in Russia and shutting down its offices there, a stance many other major labels and concert promoters have followed.
However, some Universal artists, like DaBaby, have continued to perform in Russia. DaBaby, for example, reportedly performed in Moscow just last week.
Offset might want to be cautious about what he packs when heading to Russia, though—especially if he doesn’t want to end up in a sticky situation similar to Brittney Griner’s.
In other news, TMZ has reported that Offset is seeking joint custody of his three children with Cardi B.
