I had such a blast with One of Them Days!! 😂 Keke Palmer and SZA are honestly the funniest duo ever. It was like their personalities just naturally shone through in every scene, making the movie feel more like a fun hangout with friends rather than something scripted. The whole vibe was goofy, cute, and had that perfect early 2000s nostalgia that hit me right in the feels. I watched it on a day when I was really out of my groove, and it totally lifted my spirits. The movie felt so effortless. Like, you know when you watch a film and you can tell the actors are just having a blast? That’s the energy here! Keke Palmer is a national treasure, I swear. She’s just so magnetic, and her chemistry with SZA made everything 10 times better. It’s not often you see such a natural, fun dynamic like this, and it made all the silly moments hit even harder.
Now, I’m not saying everything in the movie was perfect. Some stuff was a little too over the top, like the whole blood scene—why did she just pull the needle out?! Like, come on, that was beyond dumb. But even with those moments, I couldn’t help but laugh. The whole situation was ridiculous, but it only added to the charm of the film.
I really loved the 90s/early 2000s throwback vibe this movie gave off. It felt like it could’ve been one of those classic comedies I grew up watching, where the characters find themselves in crazy situations, but you still root for them the entire time. Keke and SZA’s characters have a crazy ride in this movie, but you’re still just so entertained the whole way through.
